Primetime
was an early entrant in
the Television media.
Star appointed Primetime
as its sole marketing
agency for India when
satellite television was
just introduced in India
in 1991. This continued
for 2 years till Star
formed its own marketing
set up in India.
In 1993,
Primetime’s management
realized the growth potential
of television and Doordarshan
(large reach) as an advertising
medium. We were one of
the first companies to
market television programmes.
We started by selling
airtime on television
serials & films on
Doordarshan and other
private satellite networks.
From thereon, we have
grown in stature and size,
from one office to 4 offices
today.
Our
trump card has always
been the strong
relationship base
we have built over the
years with advertisers
and advertising agencies
in the country.
In terms
of strategic associations,
we have also partnered
Havas International the
second largest media conglomerate
in Europe and more recently
tied up with Kagiso Media
of South Africa to form
a 50:50 JV called Radiominds
for initiatives in Radio.
Kagiso Media is associated
with Broadcast Architecture
(US) for facilitating
the radio consultancy
business for India clients.
Primetime
today exclusively represents
all India based clients
for Sony Entertainment
Television's international
markets.
